Do not miss the proposals of activities in the Nature of the Environmental Center of Fuenfría (Madrid)

Although I don't like to announce family activities on short notice, I couldn't resist being informed about the proposals that the Visitor Center of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park (on the road of the Dehesas de Cercedilla), offers for this month of February.

For those of us with children over eight years old, it is not easy to find a way to respond to their interests: they are back from any kind of workshop, theater - storytelling and magic, nor do I tell you (they have seen so many since childhood! ). Perhaps you can enter them for guided cultural visits (and if they are theatricalized better), or for activities related to robotics.

And what about contact with Nature? It's very healthy, but they need an incentive: and this is where this Center comes into play ... That you know that this weekend that is about to begin will be a itinerary to know the Water Mine (and aimed at children over twelve years old); and on Sunday 16, a climb to the Pozo de las Nieves, also for the same ages.

And next week you can enjoy activities designed for slightly younger children, for example a workshop of 'making footprints' recognizing the traces of the inhabitants of the Valley (over eight years old), and a snowshoe route through the Port of Navacerrada, which costs 15 euros per person (and includes material), Here you can participate small from 6 years. Both proposals will be held on Saturday the 22nd.

You have all the information on the Park Visitor Center blog, and on their Facebook page. You can also call 918522213, send an email to [email protected]; and even become followers of his twitter (@OcioyNaturaleza), to be informed.

And on Sunday, February 23, the program of the month is closed, learning to read in Nature how animals communicate and adapt; for families with children over 10 years.

In addition the facilities of the Center offer you other different plans, for example enjoy Temporary exhibitions, like the one held from February 15 to March 31 on the traditional use and treatment of wool “Pulling the ball” by Romina Gabrielli Prieto and Antonio Fernández de Molina Romero. And the possibility of visiting in a self-guided way the permanent exhibition of the Center "Uses, history and biodiversity of the Fuenfría Valley" during opening hours.
