Look mom, no spots!

How many times did you put the washing machine before having children and how many times do you put it in now? In my case it is more than double. And it seems that it is children who attract stains. No matter the place, the clothes or whatever they are doing, the stain is always around and waiting for their opportunity.

Well that's over, because a young American engineer has just invented the shirt that repels almost any type of liquids and therefore does not stain. Now our children can say that about Look mom, no spots!

Aamir, a student at the University of San Francisco began developing a shirt a year and a half ago that after spraying it with a hydrophobic product (capable of repelling water) was kept dry before any "accident" with some kind of liquid or sauce. The problem with this prototype is that grace, that is, what made it immune to stains, went away with the first wash and it was not a plan to wear the same shirt for months.

After some attempts he decided to soak the fibers of the fabric with silica, this is placed between the fibers causing the water to slide along the surface of them and not pass through them, causing them not to get wet.

At the moment there is only black or white cloth and they only make t-shirts for adults, but they are starting so it is very likely that soon we can have fabrics of various colors as well as garments of different types. Surely we are all thinking about the same, bibs, bodys, the tracksuit and the baby of the school, sheets.

As soon as I leave I plan to get a pair of industrial coils for children's clothes.

I leave a video so you can see how it works.
