Postpartum Beauty Rituals

Becoming a mother does not mean you neglect your beauty rituals, quite the opposite in the postpartum you must pamper yourself and take care of yourself more than ever.

From the moment you see his face for the first time, your priority becomes your child but do not forget that your mood affects your baby, so it is important to look and feel good about yourself. In this Special Postpartum Beauty that we launch today we will give you some keys to pamper yourself both inside and out.

Firming massages

It is time to recover the elasticity of the skin with products and massages that provide firmness and help restructure tissues. You can do it from home without spending too much money on treatments.

Take five minutes in the morning and at night to perform a daily massage routine centered on the area of the legs, buttocks, abdomen and breasts. For the latter there are specific creams that are applied avoiding the area of the areola.

For the rest of the body you can use a specific restructuring cream for after delivery, choose one that contains gotu kola, with regenerating, restorative and healing action.

You should perform circular massages gently and wait a couple of minutes for the cream to be completely absorbed before dressing.

Exfoliation Ritual

After the summer is an ideal time to make a gentle skin exfoliation. Not only to remove dead cells and drag impurities that settle on the skin, but to prepare it so that the products you apply penetrate better and therefore, are more effective.

The most common scrubs are those of particles. Depending on the size of the thickness of them we will get more or less skin renewal. Also known are those that bear fruit acids, which, having no granites, are indicated for the most delicate parts of our body and also for delicate skin.

Ideally, exfoliate in the shower with skin slightly moistened with hot water. The skin will be smooth and renewed, ready for good hydration.

Hydrated skin with creams and vegetable oils

After exfoliation, it's time to thoroughly hydrate your skin. Vegetable oils such as Argan, sweet almond or avocado oil, or rosehip, Asian sparkle and jojoba, previously diluted, are ideal.

These oils contain antioxidant and regenerating properties, as well as a high content of Vitamin E, which will contribute to treat postpartum stretch marks.

Sesame seed oil, in turn, contains Vitamin K with healing effects, so as with the aloe vera gel it can be especially useful to treat both the stretch marks of the belly and the scar that the birth left us if it has been by caesarean section.

Shea oil, or any cream that contains this ingredient is also highly recommended to thoroughly hydrate the skin after childbirth and treat stretch marks, as it perfectly fixes water to the cells that form the skin.

Breathing with the baby

It is not only important to take care of yourself outside and that the skin has the firmness of before, if that is possible, but above all that you feel good about yourself and have your little daily rituals that give you inner peace.

The deep abdominal breathing It is an excellent method to relax while helping to gradually strengthen the abdominal area and prepare the muscles for when you start exercising.

It consists of completely filling the lungs with air. Place your hand on your abdomen, slowly inspire by counting to five, bringing the air into the abdomen, hold the air counting to five and slowly release it by the mouth, again counting to five, completely emptying the lungs while counting again until five before take a breath again.

In this ritual you can involve your baby. Place it on your chest and you will see how you enjoy feeling the undulating movements of your breathing. For him it will also be a relaxing moment.

We hope these postpartum beauty rituals contribute to make you feel good both outside and inside. In addition to pampering your baby, also pamper yourself. A mother who is comfortable with herself will feel full to take care of her newborn child.
