A few days in Valencia with the children? Do not miss the Gulliver Park

When I read this entry from Traveling Moms talking about the Silver Towers Playground in Manhattan, I thought the same as the person making the comment at the bottom of the page. But if in Valencia there is a much bigger and more fun attraction!

If the first is a huge sitting doll whose legs, arms and thorax are slides, the second is a sculpture that could be described as gigantic, 'in which as you go with very young children, you will get tired of running chasing them, they are excited, and you are afraid of losing them'. Silver Towers Playground As the kids grow, things change because they come and go as they please, and also as the enclosure is semi closed (accessed by a single entrance), the concern about whether they get lost decreases considerably.

You will see, in section XII of the Turia riverbed, Gulliver Park is located: meeting point, meeting place, and especially a place to spend hours playing with children, or resting after several races on the body of a poor Gulliver caught by the inhabitants of Liliput.

If you go, you can easily imagine that your children are little liliputienses annoying the 'giant', and while they will climb (or climb) up and look for the best place to slide back to the ground again.

So big is that whole families fit, Did i say families? groups of people coming together to the place. Our first time was an excursion of our AMPA to the Bio Parc of Valencia, after seeing the animals, we ate outside the Gulliver enclosure and entered almost running because all the children under 15 who were on the bus were in a great hurry to get on the giant.

Once there, and to the surprise (or not so much) of many, we ended up (and down) mothers, fathers and even grandparents, yes, we had to take turns to take care of the babies that for that time were left without attraction. I confess that I avoided some of the slides (I lost some of my daring with age), but I really enjoyed it, and laughed like never before.

In Valencia it is an emblematic place, and although in this city there is a lot of art and history to discover as a family, we can also leave the most serious matters for a few hours and devote ourselves to visit the Gulliver, or the Oceanographic (of the CAC), and even the pleasant Botanical Garden. And if you are afraid that it is too hot, avoid the central hours of the day (the park is open until 8 pm) and remember that the large recreational area that forms the old river bed is full of landscaped and wooded groups.

Look at this photo, and observe Gulliver's hat dropped to the ground, inside it rests a replica of the figure, amazing!
