Last weekend I could enjoy the accommodation in the Toy Hotel in Ibi (Alicante), the only hotel dedicated to toys located outside a theme park. He could not be in a better place: the so-called “Toy Valley”. A good idea that starts from the basis that there Children are the kings, the stars of the party.
The hotel meets most of the requirements of hotels that are friends with children, and as soon as you step on it, you know that the kids are going to be like in a dream: we receive a giant Playmobil doll, tables with construction pieces, table football ... And They also make their own check-in.
So my daughters as soon as they entered were already happy, taking pictures with the Playmobil, playing, drawing ... and that we had not seen practically anything about the establishment.
With respect to hotel design, our Decoesfera colleagues already told us about it: minimalist, modern, very bright and with white floors, walls and textiles, although the lighting changes color on each floor and in the room itself.
And is that as we move through the hotel we discover that the colored lights illuminate the halls, that there are more Playmobil figures and large panels on the walls are detailing the history of the toy. There is also a playroom on the first floor (of which we also made use of course) and parking lots on the terraces to entertain you even more.
For daddies, there is the possibility of parking paying a supplement, and if there is any special event (dinner, parties ...) there are entertainers and caregivers for children.
The rooms of the Toy Hotel
The biggest surprise comes perhaps upon arriving in the room. There are two types of rooms of a total of 21: those decorated with toy motifs but without any complement and the themes that correspond to different brands and add different dolls or toys to the impressive decoration for children to entertain there.
On other occasions we have seen hotels dedicated to Heidi or The Flintstones, but what are we going to find in the themed rooms of the Toy Hotel? To the children's favorite characters and toys:
- Pocoyo is probably the star of the hotel, a recent addition to a large room decorated with the great figures of the little one, Elly, Pato, Pajaroto and all the friends of the nice character. Pocoyo dolls and games complete the space, and even in the bathroom we find details of Pocoyo.
- The room we stayed in is that of an old acquaintance in our pages, the gluttonous baby, a nursing baby that has sparked controversy in the United States. Three nursing babies with their shoulder bag and breastfeeding cushion included for children to play with. Of course, my daughters gave a good account of the dolls, enjoyed them very much.
- Playmobil's room It is also one of the most requested, because clicks are still the favorites of many children.
- Nancy's room, decorated with the traditional doll that we know more about daddies than children.
- The room of Nenuco, with the dolls of the brand, that of Pin and Pon adorned with the nice couple of dolls, the Barriguitas de Famosa…
All rooms are decorated on the wall of the headboard of the beds with a mural that represents the toy in question. They are air-conditioned, have a minibar and are adapted for people with reduced mobility. Standard rooms, suites and junior suites are distinguished.
The three suites are duplex and have special appeal, since each of them is dedicated to a Magician King: they are the Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar suites. There is the possibility of communicating rooms for large families.
They are spacious rooms and the beds of parents and children are joined. Details such as the control to control the lights (my daughters did not stop changing colors, it was magical for them) or the stool so that the children reach the sink are welcome.
Cafeteria and restaurant
The cafeteria and restaurant "Como Reyes" has fun children's menus, with the "hamburgatito" and the "tortícara" as stars. They have a terrace and the cuisine is international, Mediterranean, with a variety of tapas ... The menus range between 7 euros for children and 15 euros for adults.
The hotel breakfast (which is in the same space) is varied and there is no shortage of yogurts or fruit with bread, cold cuts, cheese, ham and sweets ... The truth is that as a fan of hotel breakfasts ( Luckily they are not made every day) I found it very rich, without excesses but with a lot of variety and continuous replacement.
With respect to room rates, we must bear in mind that we are in a four-star hotel, although there are interesting offers and depending on the dates you can find the standard double room from 60 euros a night (executives), or standard room for a family with a baby for about 100 euros or two adults and two children for 130.
For the superior category rooms we already talk about 200 euros the junior suite and 240 the suite (duplex). Prices include breakfast and in some offers the visit to the nearby Playmobil factory.
Definitely, The Toy Hotel turns children into the starsIt is all designed for them to enjoy and be an unforgettable experience. Hopefully, the House of the Magi that is being built in Ibi will open its doors shortly, because it would undoubtedly be a perfect complement for the visit to the Toy Valley.
