Birth videos: Video of a delivery not intervened in the hands / knees position

The first time I saw the video of a birth (Because I have only seen the birth of my son Aran live) it was more than ten years ago. It was in a Red Cross Lifeguard course and the child born in that video must now be my age, judging by the images. I felt privileged to be able to watch the video of a birth because very few people could live such an experience.

Now, however, just enter Youtube and put "childbirth" in the search engine, to see a few videos of more current births than the ones I saw and surely more interesting.

One of these videos to which I refer is this one that I bring you today, that of a mother who gives birth to her second child without assistance (Well, it's not like there's nobody, it's that whoever is attending the delivery doesn't intervene during the expulsion), in hands / knees position, better known as “on all fours” or “yes woman, the position with which Britney Spears gave birth”.

Birth Videos

The interesting thing about the video is to see the whole process of childbirth. The video lasts a little more than ten minutes, but it's a time when you can't take your eyes off the screen, especially after the fourth minute, which is when the baby really starts to leave. It is striking to see that the baby takes out the head and the body does not follow quickly, as usually happens, but until it does not take out both arms the baby takes its rhythm.

I stay, with everything, with the baby's face. "It does nothing," you will tell me. Exactly, that's the news: the baby does nothing. He does not cry, he does not suffer, he does not move. He pulls his head and seems asleep, calm, as if being born were something that was done every day. Amazing.
