Stories of mothers: "Feeling it in my arms has made our lives have another meaning"

Today we offer you one more of the precious mothers stories that you are sending us on the occasion of the next celebration of Mother's Day.

Today is the turn of Virginia, mother of Lucia, eleven months. Virginia explains to us what a day in her life is like with her little girl.

From the moment I was pregnant I was the happiest woman in the world. My pregnancy got a little complicated, although in the end everything went well. Lucia Reyes Chavez arrived on May 10, 2009, Mother's Day in our country. It was the best gift God gave me. My life changed.

Feeling it in my arms has made our lives have another meaning and understand many things that I did not understand about my mother. I will explain one day with Lucia: Every morning, upon waking up, she wakes me up with her laughter from the cradle, next to me. I get up, I change my diaper, I prepare her milk and the cargo in my arms. She takes advantage, touches my face, sees me, laughs and says mom, "ma-má", tells me her dream, says good morning and says "hurry up, I'm going to daycare." The day I took her to the nursery for the first time I cried a lot. I felt the worst mom in the world, but I had no other. I work together with my husband, but we have all got used to it. In the nursery they already call him "smiles", because he is always happy and no longer cries. And I still feel ugly to leave her, sometimes I see her again in the mirror and then I leave. All morning in my work is in my thinking and on my computer screen, like my husband. He comes over and tells me how much my baby loves me and we talk about how much we both miss her. He goes for her at 2:30 pm because I leave at four in the afternoon. Running I go to see her, my husband returns to work and I stay with her all afternoon. When I arrive she is asleep. At five he wakes up, the change, I give him his snack, fruit, a soup, his cookie, jelly and to play ... I put it in the walker and there he touches everything, we play hide and seek together and dance. Dad arrives at 19:30 and helps me prepare the bathroom. Since we were born we both bathed her and she is very happy in the bathroom. She loves water, we dress her fast, since it's cold and sleeping here. You usually sleep at 8:30 PM or 9:00 PM. My Lucia is my whole life and sometimes when I see the cruel news that happens on television I think a lot about my daughter and I hope she is always well. I must confess that I adore my daughter and I keep thanking God for making her be with me and being a healthy girl. This is our day, and yours?

We thank Virginia for showing us what day-to-day life is like in her family and we remind you that yes as mothers you want to share your story with us as other moms have already done, you can do it by sending the story, which should be between 5 and 8 paragraphs long, to stories of [email protected] with one or two photos (min. 500 px wide) in which you go out together to your son or children.
