We were talking recently in Babies and more what was the regulated early childhood education in Spain, and today we bring a list with the Latin American countries in which it is specified what is the situation of each one in regards to this initial education.

From the website of the Organization of Ibero-American States You can access the different countries to learn about the organization of this stage. The data has been prepared from the information collected on initial education in Latin America.

In each country we find information on the distribution in cycles, ages, the denomination, the obligatory nature or not of the schooling, the requirements of qualification in teachers, the legal framework, administrative dependence… It is a valuable information that we find divided by countries or compiled in synthesis tables.

The countries analyzed are: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Brazil and Portugal also appear in this compilation.

There is a great variety of modalities of educational attention for this initial stage as I have been able to verify walking through different countries.

For each country, an attempt is made to provide accurate and up-to-date information on the organization of initial education, as well as to describe the main elements of current policies in the field of initial education in those countries in order to envision the most relevant lines of cooperation .
